Who we are
Collins Legacy Foundation is a non-governmental organisation registered in Tanzania (Reg. No. 00NGO/R/9635), based in Mwanza. You can reach us using the details on our Contact page.
What information we collect
- Donations: your name, email address, optional phone number and country, the amount, currency and the cause or campaign you choose, and any message you add.
- Payments: card and PayPal payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We never receive or store your full card details. We keep the payment reference the provider gives us.
- Volunteer applications, event registrations and contact messages: the information you enter in those forms.
- Newsletter: your email address and optional name.
- Accounts: if you create an account, your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
How we use it
- To process donations and issue receipts;
- to respond to messages, applications and registrations;
- to send newsletters you have subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- to meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a registered NGO in Tanzania.
Children’s information and safeguarding
We do not publish identifiable information about children without documented consent from a parent or guardian and appropriate authorisation.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run this website (payment processors, our email provider and our hosting provider), or when required by law.
Retention
Donation records are kept for as long as required for financial and regulatory purposes. Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by contacting us.
